I am a very happy Cubs fan.
Tried using an emoji on your phone? LOL
I was so torn this series. I’ve been to a load of Indian games, and my best friend is from North Olmstead. I wish it was any other team - literally.
It is so difficult NOT to root for the Cubbies. Next year is finally here for those guys.
Ebbers to Tinker to Chance . . .

Ballgames do NOT get much better than this one. Congrats to the Cubs!
I’m not on my phone.
Baseball’s Sad Lexicon
These are the saddest of possible words:
“Tinker to Evers to Chance.
“Trio of bear cubs, and fleeter than birds,
Tinker and Evers and Chance.
Ruthlessly pricking our gonfalon bubble,
Making a Giant hit into a double
Words that are heavy with nothing but trouble:
“Tinker to Evers to Chance.”
My 87 year old Uncle can now die happy.

C’mon February!
Yes, I’m a Cub fan, so I’m not entirely objective, but this was the best series I can remember since the 75 Reds-Red Sox series.
RIP Mr Banks
I was torn too.
I showed my wife the ESPN Movie “Catching Hell” about the Bartman incident, and realized The Curse of the Billy Goat and that incident were so ingrained in baseball lore that I was conflicted to see them end if Cubs won.
On the other hand, there wasn’t a loser baseball fan in this Series.......enough curses to go around for all, and one just had to be broken
One of the Best Ever
Amazing. Theo Epstein busted the Red Sox 86 year drought as their GM, and now the Cubs’ drought too.
AwesomeSeries! Way ta go Cubs!!!
NIce...He was a legend!
I just posted on another thread....
My mom took a jacket over to Ohare to get the team to sign it when they disembarked the plane...She had gotten permission...back in those days, things were different. Was for my brothers birthday==he ws probably 10 years old...Team had Ernie & Ron Santo ...Sadly, it was stolen :( But always very special memory from a special time.
+1
Congrat's Cubs fans!
'course that's Harry Caray ... literally or not, we may certainly envision this to be the case on this happy evening. Never thought I'd see it. Go Cubs!
I've been a life long Cubs fan so it is especially great for me.
Unfortunately, I retired in Florida about 23 years ago and simply didn't have the funds to go to Wrigley for the games there.
I also had to settle for the games on the radio but I was able to listen to them all.
