I was fed up with DirectV for a long time. I’d been paying $98.96 for what amounts to basic cable but with two DVRs and HD.

I called them up in late October and told the customer rep I want to speak to whoever I have to cancel my service. They asked why and I said “you’re gouging me - have been for years” “I’m just going to full streaming elsewhere - it works great”.

Long story short, they cut my bill nearly in HALF. So I’ll keep them for 12 more months and then drop them because I like the DVRs.

I’ve been staying at a Holiday InnExpress in Houston for the last 6 days.
Every morning I turn on Fox News when getting ready for the day. Just now, 5:55, Fox News “ has not been purchased”.
Fox Business still here. It’s a conspiracy of epic proportion!

I am in CA and am tied to Cox Cable. This same thing happened to me yesterday at 7:30 am PST. I had to call and get a reboot which took an inordinate amount of time. Oddly too, we had to turn in a fairly new box last month,because all of the sudden it would not allow viewing FOX on HD channel. No amount of rebooting and all resolved this. Both times the screen came up as you described that it was not subscribed to. The Russians? (satire)

Comcast tried this a few weeks ago. I was furious. I knew they were doing this as a political thing.

FOX News Channel was still there in standard def, but Comcast tried to tell me FOX got out of the HD business.

I called them out as liars because I called FOX.

FOX is back and has been since the day after he incident. They must have had many furious calls. LOL
