Get your veterans ID cards dusted off, your DD-214's, or your Military ID's.
Here is a list of restaurants that will give free meals on Veterans Day !
bump for freebees
I’ve had a good steak dinner at Applebee’s over the yers.
Add Hy-Vee grocery store in New Hope MN. Last year the West Metro FD raised a huge American flag on its ladder truck parked in front of the store.
Well, now...

I clicked the link to “Internet,” which is actually http://militarybenefits.info/veterans-day-discounts-sales-deals-free-meals/. Their webpage is covered by an ad. There is no way to close the ad, as its larger than the screen, so any “X” which might be there is off-screen, and inaccessible.
Just knowing I’ve served my country is good enough for me. I prefer to live like everyone else now, that includes paying for meals that I order when I go out and not expecting freebies.
No ad in my browser. What are you running?
Yes, I understand that. However, retired on SS$1532/mos leaves little for a dinner esp a dinner for two. So, I hied my horse to PA to search for a close place (must add in gas costs when go to the VAMC if not an appointment and we are far remote)) and, lo and behold, no place in western or west central PA can do this act of kindness. Morgantown, WV can at the Ramada Inn. Hmmm.
Safari, on my iPhone.
I’m in .....all in !
