Someone was telling me he lost two days of work last week because of a four-day French weekend. The two holidays were the anniversary of the end of World War One, and either All Saints’ Day or All Souls’ Day, he didn’t know which. I think the former (he didn’t know how to say it in English).
Kind of makes you think about the differences between countries.
