There was no “Constitutional Crisis” then. The Constitution was upheld and things proceeded Constitutionally.

I understood that. Nixon had the dignity to resign, something Democrats hardly ever do. I was speaking about this line from the OP, however:

I lived through the Nixon years, and this [i.e., Constitutional as per title] Crisis far exceeds that one.

I believe Trump's current campaign is a Constitutional Crisis of sorts because political parties on BOTH sides, probably three or four, are subverting the intentions of the Constitution and, further, that the US Government has been colluding among its cabinet and cabinet level agencies to keep Constitutional and legal criminality by the Clintons et al from knowledge by the public before the upcoming election.
