Huma Abedin's lawyers are set to meet with the Justice Department and FBI to discuss the emails found on her sexting husband Anthony Weiner's laptop - two days after the FBI dramatically announced it had reopened the investigation into Hillary's handling of classified material.
Questions are mounting over right-hand woman Abedin's future on the Clinton campaign as she was pictured in New York today at campaign HQ while her boss was in Florida.
She has reportedly pleaded ignorance about how the emails ended up on her husband Weiner's laptop – and were subsequently found by FBI agents after DailyMail.com exposed him sexting a 15-year-old girl.
The scandal leaves the Clinton campaign facing disaster after FBI director James Comey announced their discovery had led him to reopen the investigation into Clinton with 11 days until the election.
The latest ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll taken after Comey's announcement shows Trump is just one point behind Clinton, with 45 percent support to her 46 percent.
Last week, Clinton was up 12 points, meaning that she lost a double-digit lead in a week's time. A third of the likely voters polled said they were less likely to cast a vote for Clinton because of this additional email probe.
Even worse for her situation, Abedin swore under oath while testifying in a lawsuit brought against the State Department by Judicial Watch that she had handed over all of her devices that could hold emails relevant to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
If she’s found to have lied she could face up to five years in jail.

My thinking exactly. Huma, by her own account, adored HRC, and was/is probably as close a confidant as Hillary ever allowed in her life. Who in her coterie is immediately ready and able to slip into that role? Already physically and mentally unstable this current blow has have stunned more than the public revelations of sick willy and Monica....who by the way must be laughing her azzz off.

A 12-point lead would indicate over 55 percent of voters would have been for Hillary if Trump has been at 43 percent.... Ha HA hA. The Gobbles/Googles Folks are still reporting victorious armies West of Moscow, as Hilitery is melting down and attempting to take the entire Administration with her.

What you said makes perfect sense . . . . except for the fact that the emails were in a file named “Life Insurance”. Someone had to name that file. Either Huma or Weiner. Or can you think of an alternate explanation?

They are indeed a pain in the butt to modify or repair when damaged. I hate them. On older versions of Outlook they had an absolute limit of 2GB. The email system went completely haywire when that occurred. I had to rescue many people from that situation in the middle 2000s.
Clearly, Huma was using the Outlook 2007 or later version. The 2002 version would not have held that many emails without hitting the space limit.
Huma is a pretty woman. A man can feel a touch of chagrin when a pretty woman like that turns out to be Jezebal or Mata Hari.Some kinds of looks we automatically associate with benevolence until proven wrong. It sometimes get us in a jam, too.
I would be amazed if Huma goes to jail. Likewise, Hillary will never see jail. If Hillary wins next week, Huma will still be her Chief of Staff as the FBI investigation will fold like a house of cards.
