Why is it when he laughs and smiles he doesn't look like like he's laughing and smiling?
Strange dude!
I think he started changing when his son, Sandy Hume committed suicide in 1998.
Britt Hume became a serious Christian after the loss of his son to suicide in 1998. His naturally wry manner is thus reinforced by faith and life experience that give him an appreciation of our fickleness and of the shallowness of our obsession with the new and shiny things that pass by every day.
Too bad Brit has morphed into a tireless #NeverTrump shill, along with almost all other Fox talking heads.
The Revolution is ON!
Vote Trump!
Hume = Pompous ass.
One wonders if Britt was a “serious Christian” before or after he was schtupping MeAgyn Kelly
... because he wasn't fully resuscitated.
Results matter though, and if, as we hope, Trump wins and is a success like Reagan, the Never Trump crowd will look foolish as they eat plate after plate of crow; but if Trump loses, they will be vindicated and we will be eating crow.
In any event, Brit Hume will no doubt be restrained and wry in his comments. As a Christian, he knows that except for our eternal spirit, we are all dust and that this world will passeth away. How could a man of years and deep personal loss who believes that not have a detached manner?
NONSENSE.
If Donald Trump loses, the Enemy will not be vindicated in any way, shape, or form. They will claim they have been vindicated, but in reality their naked collusion in such a compromised, un-American process will render them an object of derision for decades.
The Dinosaur Media's shameful corruption, in which they have become fully complicit in Hillary Clinton's and 0bama's overt criminality, have rendered the entire electoral process illegitimate for this cycle.
If Hillary wins, for the first time, this Republic will merit the adjective "banana".
The Media has officially jumped the shark and, effectively, become nothing more than a mouthpiece of the Establishment Regime. They have completely abrogated their historical responsibilities, and their actions are, IMHO, overtly treasonous.
They have utterly forfeited their legitimacy for the foreseeable future, and they are setting into motion a sequence of events which will certainly lead to Tyranny and needless Bloodshed, and quite possibly Revolution.
I, for one, will become an unapologetic Revolutionary if Hillary Clinton is installed in this breathtakingly criminal manner.
If Trump loses, the result will be a profoundly divided America, and the resulting Regime should be resisted to the utmost. There can be no reconciliation or cooperation with such criminality.
To reiterate, regarding "vindication" of the Enemy, I reject your premise completely, and I know I'm not the only one. You can "eat crow" and accept the Enemy's "vindication" if you like, but doing so will not reflect well upon either your character or your discernment.
JMHO, of course.
This is a Revolution, whether we lose this particular battle or not. There is no going back...
Vote Trump!
I almost said something with warts, Britt, and and Megyn, but realized that I wasn’t on twitter. Whew, close call!!!
Precisely! Could not agree more FRiend.
Beyond that there are the Never Trump conservative intellectuals and super wealthy whose motives and reasoning vary. The notions of a Trump defeat, a collapsed GOP, and effective resistance to a Clinton administration are in contradiction. If Trump is defeated and the GOP devastated, Clinton and crew will run wild and rig the rules to disable the opposition.
Sorry Britt.
Rumor has it Brit diddled Megan a while back. That may explain a great deal.
If only you were.
That makes no sense.
If you think Trump will be a president like Reagan, you are going to be disappointed.
I am voting for the guy. But Reagan was a well polished politician by the time he ran for the White House. He also was the epitome of a conservative.
This would not necessarily be for the worse. Conservatism had become stagnant, with a narrow range of rhetoric drawn from the country club, Ivy League debate societies, and evangelical preaching. And winning issues like immigration and the loss of blue collar and middle class jobs were shunned due to ideological rigidity and vetoes based on donor class interests. Trump though talks like an ordinary person and has broken through the boundaries of conventional conservative political calculation.
Trump's campaign did not so much defeat Bush style conservatism as expose its shallowness and deserved discredit among the public. As Trump's success made clear, the judgment of the country is that the Bush II presidency ended in failure, responsible for a combination of economic collapse and job loss, unrestrained illegal immigration, and costly foreign military misadventures that did not clearly enhance the security of the country.
Even if Trump loses, he will have forced conservatives to turn the page from the Bush and even Reagan eras. Plain, direct speaking, populist rhetoric, and a firm hold on winning issues will be recognized to be the winning formula.
