A Canadian man is suing Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) to have “God” removed from its famous Twelve Step program, alleging discrimination against atheists, agnostics, and freethinkers. First published in 1939, the “Twelve Steps” of Alcoholics Anonymous have a significant spiritual component, and six of the twelve make direct reference to God or a “higher power.” Those following the program must acknowledge their powerlessness over alcohol and their dependence upon God to restore them to health.

I went to a meeting with a lady who is an atheist (and still a friend) and luckily there was a guy there who had been through and heard everything. He got her to land on Good Orderly Direction.
Proselytizing to a particular religion or deity will get you rebuked at most meetings.
In fact, a couple weeks ago I was at one and two people started advocating for Hillary. Told them I didn’t know I was at a political rally and got up and left. Haven’t been back.
If he blew a .02, he shouldn’t be in trouble at all.
I blew a borderline 0.05 and was out $581. They changed the rules in BC, ya see...
At least they didn’t tow my car.

6. Americans are Angry. ANGRY ANGRY PEOPLE! ALL OF YOU! AND THAT MAKES ME SLIGHTLY TICKED OFF!!!!!
7. Hating French Canadians isn’t the same as being hateful. Americans are hateful.

9. Americans are fat, unlike the people, of, say, Regina.
10. Americans only speak ONE LANGUAGE, unlike me. OK, well, I don’t speak French or anything personally, but at least I don’t BRAG ABOUT IT like a frickin’ American.

12. Everyone knows more than 5,000 indigenous people die on the street EVERY HOUR from lack of medication down in the States. It’s on the CBC.
Stuff like this makes me glad that, when I travel, I look for a restaurant within walking distance of my hotel room so that I can enjoy a couple of beers.
UNBELIEVEABLE! Your higher power is the mainstay of AA!
He was 20 years old at the time, and in California *any* alcohol in the bloodstream of a 20 year old is an automatic DUI. His probation from this lasted 7 years, which meant that until almost 28 he was under extremely strict rules.
