Yes. As a “modern American” I am not eager to be called a prude, but the simple fact is that we have a sex-obsessed society. Music, TV, film, books, magazines — they all obsess on sex. People need to say “No thanks; don’t push that at me all the time. It does me no good to have that as the center of my universe.”
Sex ruins everything.

I agree. For many of today’s youth, it is indeed the center of their universe.
I had a brief conversation the other day with a slutty young woman (half my age) I know. She thought it necessary to tell me, “I don’t have any STD’s, I only had chlamydia twice.” This kid grew up in an environment where she never had positive role models, so celibacy was never considered an option. What a shame. I fear she is in the majority in her generation...
Even television/movie commercials are unwatchable and should have ratings preceding them.
