Gotcha. Don’t remember having to use the sizing before but sounds straightforward. Is flickr a private place or will photos be seen by the public. Must be prepared for my sweetly delivered defense to love-of-my-life ;)

P.S. That 1 hour time works for all because you are heating up dry stuff already. I watched my great grandmother and her 5 sisters putting up stuff all together thru childhood. I will say, I got 100 pound bag of dry pintos many years ago and wanted to put those in 1 gallon pickle jars. Great grandmother had passed on then. My Grama and I were working together and I was worried 1 hour wasn’t enuf. Her oven only held 2 gallon jars at a time. She filled hers and spaced little jars around them with other things and left all 1 hour. I put my gallon jars in for 1 1/2 hour and did the little jars separate for 1 hr. All the gallon jars of beans were fine, mine and hers. We only had the 4 gallon jars and put the rest of the beans to be sealed in littler jars. We both kept 1 of the gallon jars to the last of those beans, probably 2 - 2 1/2 yrs, so we could compare. Couldn’t tell any difference, both had stayed sealed and all the beans lasted till we ate them all

I am a dunce. I just saw you are using the attachment for jars. :)

I have that with mine too and like that especially for sweetened coconut, dried peaches and dried apricots which I have found do not oven can as well. Helps me allocate my jars better.

Mine are open for viewing but I think there is a privacy setting but it may not be free. I think photo-bucket you have to do all the HTML ?

Yup, okay. Went to flickr. Don’t want an issue with hubby. Guess I’ll stay text.

Thank you for helping me look around anyway.

I rarely post pictures it is such a hassle. I still upload to photobucket and then copy the link to post on FR. You can set your photobucket account to be private.

Thanks a bunch I think I’ve got it. So you DON”T put the lids in the oven - just after the jars come out, right?? I’ve used lots of other jars for water bath canning with nothing but success. Prego type spaghetti sauce jars are the perfect size for my sauce, pints too small and quarts too big for the 2 of us. A friend used store bought salsa jars a lot for her salsa and I have too. I know what you mean about the foodsaver bags. I don’t buy them unless I have a 20% off coupon from Bed Bath & Beyond. I also got a set of 3 foodsaver cannisters that were heavily marked down that was a good find. Thanks again for all the info.

I may try the privacy thing on photobucket when I’m laid up again. (Wish that was NEVER!) I used to love posting photos.

Got to wallowing in self-pity earlier and had to refocus. Battle is all in my mind. Got good scriptures for that, have to stop and put them to work. I should be up and around tomorrow and I’m going to take pictures of my workings to try to post later :)

(any pics I get will no way be nice like tubebenders or any of the others already posted here)

Nope, no lids in the oven.

I know it seems like a no brainer but before putting on give lid insides a quick last wipe to make sure there no moisture.

I like using all the “other” jars too. Just usually keep quiet cause county agent says they’re forbidden. I just can’t see wasting good jars when I know how to be sanitary and check my seals on a regular basis.

I used to take rooted cuttings of extra plants and things I’ve thinned out to sell at farmers markets or yard sales. Texas has a new law against that unless you get a license which costs $500 or $600 annually, forget which amt. I never made that much from them in a year except once. So disgusted with that. I have a bunch of aloe vera, airplane plants and Mexican petunia extra potted up now and no place to go with it. Oh, and wormwood. I know some folks would love to pay half what box stores charge but they’re sending inspecters to local farmer’s markets now and an acquaintance of a friend was fined $600. Sheesh. I don’t know that a President Trump can save us from state over regulation but if he could start cutting some it would be the right direction. I’d just like spending money for seed and stuff.

Yes I have two...both black and white “tuxedo” cats...Itchy My elder male just appeared in Florida as a flea infested kitten....and Inky just showed up while I was in Louisiana (as a kitten also) visiting my brother ...Itchy is ? I forget how old he is ....I do know that he has missing teeth and one eye has changed color from its original, but he will lay in my lap and rub my jaw for hours on end. A very affectionate male cat. Inky Has turned out to be a killer and hunter ...picture three rooms of furniture and belongings hastily placed in the center of the room in order to catch the chipmunk she caught and brought into the house which was utilizing my base board heating as a way to avoid capture for about an hour and a half....me my dog (pappillon/pomeranien) and inky trying to recapture the fast critter....I think I saw her laugh at me while I was in the process of getting the rodent out of the house ...true story.

Looks pretty good to me. I was a lazy girl this weekend - mostly distracted by reading some books that came in the mail.

If the tree is like mine, the lemons are really superior.

It is truly strange to be sweating on one end and have the sensation of freezing on the other. When you read about it, the articles always say tell the Doc right away to help prevent complications.

Seems to me the Docs are all like well, you have it, what to do about it is a mystery. I know that everyone has to be their own detective these days - thank goodness for the internet - My health has improved since I figured out what my 20-year problem was and got the surgery I needed.

Mine has too, thanks in large part to a super pain management specialist. He is a sweet Christian man who also takes the time to pray with me.

On the neuropathy, I did get a lot of relief from a procedure from a podiatrist the pain management doc refered me to. I am sorry I can't remember the name of the procedure or where I wrote it down but I will ask when I see doc again week after next.

Trouble this year was Obamacare. Had to change insurance 3rd year in a row. (Already been told I have to do that again this year.) No plan last year covered all my doctors (4) or even any 2 of them. I kept the pain management doc because he's got me active again. But, no podiatrist in my plan does the procedure that helps the neuropathy. The procedure is some shots in my ankles. Since I'd had an appointment scheduled before the new insurance went into effect I did get covered under pre-existing for a set of shots early this year and its not so bothersome in warm weather for me. But it's getting bad enough to keep me awake full nights again. I get so angry at Obama when my feet are freezing and yet feel like they have burning spikes thru my toes or other parts and I can't sleep, I want to personally put him thru this torture!

I created a flickr account and uploaded a photo. I cant figure out how to find the code to put into the html here. Doing this from my phone so not sure how to access it. I used to do a right click with my mouse on computer to find it but not sure what the equivalent would be with my phone.

Workin on it.

Got my hubby to bring me home an old laptop that his subcontractors use.

I have 3 pics on flickr. Got em in an album. I right click and it does not give me properties. What gives?

I figure I won’t always have a laptop available but if I can figure it out once on here, I will figure it out on my phone at some point.
