I am anxiously awaiting Apple to announce a Partnership with
SolidEnergy which would 2 revolutionary things. First double the energy density of the battery, and secondly it would make Lithium ion batteries safe. This company managed to change the ingredients. But not the basic manufacturing steps in making batteries; that makes them non-combustible. Simply said, the new components do not burn; yet manage to store double the energy.
