The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Paramount and Leonardo DiCaprios Appian Way Productions are in talks to make a live action film adaptation of the early 1990s environmental cartoon Captain Planet. [
]
According to reporters Rebecca Ford and Borys Kit, Sources say the story takes place years after the adventures of the show, with the Captain now a washed-up has-been who needs the kids more than they need him.

Oh, goodie! I can hardly wait to go to the movie theater and see this movie.
Do I really need to add a “sarc” tag?
To: Olog-hai
The author spelled “DiCrappio” wrong.

I guess one of the top-notch Hollywood writers saw The Incredibles.
Or "Galaxy Quest" ...

Yes, I assuming much CO2 will be used during his travels regarding this movie. And in fact, during the making of the movie.
He should really just retire and go off the grid. The planet will be much better off. ;)

Very funny movie! I love Tim Allen. “Last Man Standing” is openly conservative; lots of jokes about Obama.

Galaxy Quest is a great flick! The writers obviously spent a lot of time reviewing interviews of Star Trek alums.
Sadly Alan Rickman has left us, and Darryl Mitchell is now confined to a wheel chair.

Doesn’t help that “bear” is slang for large, hairy gay men either.
