There is no valid reason to keep potentially invasive animals, especially dangerous animals as pets. PERIOD.

I’m sure a snake can have its reproductive system removed by a vet, and de-poison/de-fang it too.

People keep rattlesnakes. It may not be the smartest choice, but I don’t think there’s much difference between this and keeping a dangerous dog breed like a pit bull (which are also common in Florida). In fact the. Pit bulls are probably more dangerous since people are very neglectful and let them roam around.
