This is a movement... if we lose we organize.

The question will be “do we stay within the Republican party’ or ‘form our own party’. It might be better to stay in the Party and fight to elect people who can hear our concerns over the concerns of their fat cat donors..

I don’t think a new party will help. It won’t have the money to stand up to the global corporate establishment. Fighting on political terms against them that control all the means of communication and industry is probably a non-starter. We will be isolated on the edges of the “system.” We will have to go underground as rebels - and that may take more than a generation, or more time than many of us have left.

As for me, I’m not just keeping my independent registration, I’m de-registering altogether. I’m going outside the American political system if this fails this year. There won’t be any way to regain what has been lost, or to fight totalitarianism from the inside.

As far as changing a party from the inside, the Soviet way had a lot of members drop out of sight and others step into their place—realignment achieved virtually overnight without changing the artwork.
