I don’t feel so all alone now!

The acorns hitting my little tin roof have been like living in a war zone.

Yes, it is very loud. Especially when it hits the metal of one of the rain barrels. We also have a Maple tree that sheds on the same patio, so there is a plethora of leaves.

We have a ton of acorns falling too. Very loud hitting my car and the tin roof on our woodshed. When we see an abundance of acorns on the ground like this year we know it will be a harsh winter. I am seeing small clusters of new sunflowers sprouting, the squirrels are gathering dropped seeds from the feeder and burying them in bunches, except they are sprouting. LOL

Picked our last 2 tomatoes and all that is left is some zucchini still growing slowly and those costa rican peppers, big bush is still green and still has over a dozen peppers. Hubby likes them red so I have not picked them. Our wood is done and stacked. Just have the chimney to clean. I did start some romaine in a big pot after I yanked tomatoes out of it. It's all about 2 inches tall. Have been covering it at night with a big sheet of plexiglas that I use in the spring. Experiment this year.
