San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly announced Tuesday that Colin Kaepernick has been handed the reins to take over as the team's starting quarterback. The decision comes amid the squad's four-game slump and less-than-stellar 1-4 start to the season.

I heard part on Sports talk radio that they were speculating that the reason they weren’t playing him was that if he gets injured playing and he his rehabbing those injuries come April 1st, 2017, that the Niner’s will have to pay him $14 Million and that he has lost a lot of weight and is down to 215 lbs so he is relatively frail and could be subject to an injury.

Jose Fernandez -the NL Rookie of the Year in 2013 - came to the United States by boat as a 15-year-old Cuban refugee in 2008. Along the way, he rescued his mother, who had fallen overboard.
However, his beloved grandmother, who Fernandez calls a baseball freak, was left behind.
Shes the love of my life... my everything, Fernandez said.
The day before winning the Rookie of the Year Award, a shocked Fernandez was reunited with his grandmother in Florida with help from Miami Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria.

Break his f’n neck! ...
Will not watch the 49ers
if i had the moola, i would follow kaperdick from stadium to stadium and sit as close to his bench, and play the national anthem every time he stood up.
every time.
I’m in the SF Bay Area and I’m not watching. I hope they lose. I’ve heard a lot of people say they’re doing other things with their Sundays now and are enjoying the new activities more.
I think the Raiders just gained a lot of new fans in the Bay Area.
I’ll take Dick Butkus.
Guarantee that he not get a warm welcome in Buffalo
At this point, $14M might be a bargain to stop the hemorrhaging of viewership.
Well that’s the 49ers fault for paying this a&&hole and the idiot owner for supporting him. Im sure there are a couple of 49er players who secretly want some opposing player to cripple him.
Not even just to root for them to get beat, or him to get flattened by a pro-American lineman?
Going back and recalling “Night - Train” Lane!
The hell with Crapperdick.
If I was one of the Refs, I'd be looking the other way.
"Bad things, man!"
(I miss that guy)
I loved Cliff “Crash” Harris and Steve Atwater too, but NO ONE was could quite compare to Tatum.
Teaming up with the ghost of Ronnie Lott.
