Agree with dayglored 100%. If there’s an objective issue with any platform, we do a service by making it known to freepers. Subjective issues, not so much. Chances of someone changing another’s mind via an online argument are approximately equal to those of having a reasoned and rational discussion with a liberal. I run the android list, love my android phone. However, in my house you’ll find android, iOS, mac, Linux, and even windows based products. Use what works. Speaking of work, we use Linux and Windows there too. IMHO anything is fair game for praise or raspberries, when merited. I’ve been in the tech game long enough (think punch cards) to have seen every outfit on both sides of that. I’m sure they’ll all amaze and disappoint again.

Precisely.

It's actually kind of funny, me running the Windows list... although I've worked with (developed on, programmed for, and used) Windows continuously since version 2.0, I'm actually most comfortable in a Unix/Linux environment. Which is why I like using Mac hardware. (Huh?)

On account of VMware (and Xen and VirtualBox) -- I can run every OS possible. Apple restricts use of MacOS to Apple hardware, but Apple hardware is robust and stable, so I use the Mac as my hardware platform and run everything else as VMs. It's incredibly easy these days and I can "use what works" effortlessly.

A couple years ago I switched from an LG flip-phone to an iPhone and it does just fine. I've played with Androids and I can use one just fine too if need be, but they're not my personal first choice. Matter of taste, that's all.

There's just no excuse at all for religious tech flamewars, nor for the trolling that usually starts them.

I feel very fortunate tonight -- it's a pleasure to be in the good company of you guys. God Bless y'all.

I am blessed by all of you and the 750 members of my ing list. The trolls are just the ants at our picnic. We can tolerate them.
