The latest Irish celebrity to speak out against the Republican nominee for US president Donald Trump is Bob Geldof of the Boomtown Rats. He has some pretty strong words.
Speaking at the One Young World Summit in Ottawa, Canada, before an audience of 1,300, Geldof proclaimed, “Who believes any more that trade amongst the nations will lift us all out of the great evil that everyone has spoken of, poverty? And especially now that a liar, a fool and a racist vomits his bile on to the disinherited of the United States!”
The Live Aid founder classified Trump as one of the “commanders in the armies of stupid,” which he also believes to include Boris Johnson and Vladimir Putin, among others. …

I guess the point being why anyone cares what these people think in terms of politics when their own personal lives are fraught with incredible dysfunction is beyond me. Other than the press for a five minute sound bite that is.

Pure scum. Did Live Aid and kept the money for himself. A few years ago they wanted an accounting for all the funds that were never distributed. This A$$ had numerous friends got to ? and spend a week discussing nothing. They spent $millions on this adventure(just like the CF). Still to this day they have never distributed the money. Gelding kept it to himself.
We don’t care what Bob Geldolf thinks of America. He’s a very ompous a hole who hasn’t mattered since the Reagan Administration. If you want to lecture, why not start with the British school system that allows christian children to be harrassed, abused and menaced by the Muslim children.
