Darrell Collison, of Charity, Missouri, may have already shot the biggest buck in the state this year.
Just 3 days into the bow-hunting season, Darrell has bagged himself a buck that is making waves in the hunting world. The buck was green scored at 153 typical and non-typical 220 4/8 gross and 208 1/8 net with 29 points, however, the Dallas County game warden later came up with 36 points.
The pictures of this buck will send chills down your spine, dont believe us? Check them out:
Looks like it is 18 points, not 36. How exactly do you determine the score?
There goes the herd.
God put these creatures on earth for our use and sustenance. Most meat purchased at stores come from large production farms. To believe that animals raised on factory farms are treated better is very naïve.
Here in Wisconsin deer are everywhere. They are a nuisance. They destroy property and cause damage and injury. I am not a hunter, but was raised to use what the land offered. Fish, produce etc. Here is an article you might find interesting.

Those are such impressive antlers I was just wondering if they are the result of age.
True, a well-balanced rack is important:
It costs a lot of money to "hunt" this kind, however.
I forgot the slashy-slashy sarc ;)
Yup! And DEE-licious!
The animal is a pest. Meaning it hosts pestilence, like Lyme disease. The more deer, the more Lyme disease. And that's just one disease. Lot's of wild animals get rabies. There is no cure but eradication.
The animal is destructive. Eats a farmers crops or preys on raised animals. Or, in the case of wild hogs, destroys the land through digging or rooting.
The animal is dangerous. I'm sorry, we eradicated alligator, bears, venomous snakes, mountain lions and wolves for a reason. They can and will kill humans. These type of animals do not belong anywhere we're people are thickly spread, and rural folks who encounter them should not be prosecuted for killing them if they have reason to believe their own life is in danger. Those who say this is acceptable rather than have the animal go extinct are not talking about themselves or their own kids getting eaten, however. Just "other" people--not them. I'd prefer such people themselves go extinct. Hopefully by a wolf, cougar, bear or alligator. Karmic!
Leather or fur. I've tried gator--the tail. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it though. But alligator leather is top-notch. I like fur, but wouldn't eat a Mustelidae like a mink or skunk because that is some nasty stuff!
Thanks for explaining how the natural world works. Death by a hunter is much more humane than a death by old age and predators.
I ate squirrel - that was enough for me. Not a fan of venison but like you said, they are pests. Many hunters who enjoy the hunt but don’t eat the meat, donate it to local food pantries. So all is good.
A young deer can be quite tasty, an old Buck is gamely, that may have been what you ate.
The only wild hog I have eaten was a huge old boar hog and it was awful. I have heard the young ones are good.
Nature video is always censored on TV because Nature video being torn to pieces is so gruesome.
Nature is so sick to the core in reality, that we humans cannot tolerate even watching it.
I hunted much in my youth, I have seen deer over population and they starve so I understand, just don’t buy the need, and actually in the beginning all green plants which yield seed are for meat. genesis..it will return to edens ways
did not write it, and humans have been dead to God since the fall..so what makes man so knowledgable..the world we made is dying in front of us, we need God badly..no matter what man has done for so long, he has sinned for so long and that does not please the Lord.
God lives in all
God provides, go eat death for your life..sounds about right for the world
glad too, go eat the dead and act like your not a vampire.maybe vultures are idols for ya I don’t know.
the world is very brutal, shouldn’t we learn not to be?
Ya cant eat the horns.
