Apple only, I believe..................
I was talking about the iPhone nonsense. I have bought a new iPhone every two years since the first one and never had the kind of trouble you said that couple had.
Of course if they had never installed any of the upgrades required it could have took a little longer.
Funny, just upgraded my 5S to a 7.
Took all of 15 minutes, longer than regular mostly because of it being a business account. The data transfer was definitely less than 5 minutes. But then this was a Sprint store.
I will say that our Apple store is always busy and waiting to talk to someone isn’t uncommon, even with 20 or so employees on the floor.
All I can figure is that there may be incompatibilities between the AR and US cell phone systems that were causing an issue. That, or the Apple employee was a moron.
...people everywhere looking down at their phones and checking them constantly.”
Are you sure you aren’t talking about in the United States? When I was in the grocery store last weekend, looked around. Except for the employees, grandson and I were the only ones either not looking at their phone or talking on it.
Good grief. Do these people never unplug any more? My son and his family turn off all electronic devices once everyone arrives home on Friday night and don’t turn them back on again until Monday morning. Somehow they manage to survive quite nicely.
Its some sort of tax issue between Apple and the AR government.
They are even worse over there. Everyone customizes their phone and adds stickers. Stealing phones is also a legit pastime. If you take your eyes off your phone, which custom requires you to put on the table in front of you as you sit down, it’s been stolen. So pathetic!
I will never understand the why for all the gadgets. There are too many things in my life that are way more important than a phone or electronic device.
I do carry a cell phone in my purse right next to my cc permit and a weapon whenever I leave home. All are just in case of emergency though. Guess I’m just getting old.
LOL
Hammers are so old fashioned. It's all about metal balls now.
So you brought a SIM card in the wrong size from an unsupported Argentinian carrier, and waited for a large data transfer on a slow, overcrowded WiFi network instead of activating the phone and restoring the data elsewhere.
