I have always thought that the Libertarian candidate hurts the Republican candidate.
But ... with the behavior and comments I am seeing from the Modernist Progressives I know, I'm not so sure.
Thoughts?
Normally a libertarian candidate would hurt conservatives. But this guy isn’t very libertarian. He’s getting all of the disgruntled Bernie votes and the ‘liberal’ people who can’t vote for Hillary.
Johnson isn’t trolling for Bernie voters running radio ads on Hannity and other conservative radio.
Weld was picked to do this, too.
And, my boy and I saw the 60 Minutes exposé ... they went after Trump and Clinton about 85% to 15% ....

I believe you are correct. And it's a real shame, because he was not always the doofus you see today. He was a successful businessman here in New Mexico. When he was governor we called him "Governor No", because he vetoed so many bills from the democrat-controlled state legislature - hundreds of vetoes in his very first year. But then he left office, dumped his wife, and started smoking a lot of pot. Hasn't ever stopped, looks like.

Gary Johnson hurts Trump only in battleground states. He is harmless in most others. I have liberal friends in Maryland who are voting Johnson over Hillary and I say more power to them.
From what I am seeing here on FR, I would think Johnson siphons Clinton votes more ... so this doesn’t occur in battleground states??
Nobody. People are voting what they believe, candidates don’t automatically deserve anybody’s vote, if they can’t make people believe in them they don’t get the vote.

Gary Johnson hurts Hillary more, Interestingly enough, The Detroit News just endorsed him instead of Hillary. MSNBC has been bashing him endlessly so they are hoping that sends his voters to Hillary.
"Who does hurt Gary Johnson more?" sounds to me that Hillary or Donald hurt Gary.
"Whom does Gary Johnson hurt more?" sounds to me that Gary hurts Hillary or Donald.

All I know is that my millennial son and his many many friends are all voting for Gary.
Johnson’s personally out of the race. He’s busy building a super-rocket ship to take mankind to other planets. His presidential campaign is being carried on by the TV ad guy who sells “Wow Sham” sponges or something like that.
Anyone who tries to sell Johnson as being anything other than a nut should entitled the campaign as “Wow, what a Sham”.
He’s getting the doper-Bernie voters, if they remember to vote.

There are libertarians that lean conservative and those that lean liberal. In Gary’s case I think he hurts Hillary more. Most libertarians aren’t warhawks like Hillary is.
