Right, well, for some mad reason bosses tend to get decidedly annoyed if you try to spend most of your time lying down instead of working like they hired you to do.
Some very unkind comments towards the not-sitting-individual tend to be uttered then. Quite befuddling, no?

This stuff has taken hold in the workplace. We all have standing desks. I guess I’m dumb, because I can’t do more than read my email while standing up. I certainly can’t do substantive work. I’ve tried.
I read that getting up and walking for a couple of minutes is as good as standing, so when I need a break, I walk around other floors in my building. Then I come back and sit...
Maybe they will stop with the self-driving cars and work on making standing cars next.
