It seemed to me that in the 1980s and 1990s, if a woman wanted to make it in the movies, she had to do a nude scene.

I always wondered if that was some kind of power play amongst the rulers.

You wondered? I never did. I never saw a movie where I thought the sex scenes were necessary to the plot, or even the theme.

But then there are a lot of movies I haven’t watched, nor wanted too.
