20th Anniv. from the Smother's Brothers
Being dead he’s a fully qualified Democrat.
Don’t forget Officer Judy.
That was funny
I wasn't aware of it at the time, but they and the original SNL team did amazing things to American thought processes
And let's not forget Ahchie Bunkah !
Remember we went from this ‘farce’ on weekly TV to Fred Thompson not being able to launch his campaign until Law & Order had finished its season of first run shows.
Did Paulsen receive may write in votes? In some instances he made more - or at least better - sense than some of the ones running
Like Chris Plante says - It is good to be a democrat
I didn't bother to go see him.
I didn't get the "joke" of it being a "farce", given that I was suffering from the Jimmy Carter's "malaise" at the time.
Pat Paulsen was a gem!
“I’ve upped my standards now up yours.”
And probably still voting?
I didn't want to pester him at first, as everyone wanted his autograph, etc.
Once the plane took off he noticed I was working a crossword and was stuff. He pulled a crossword out of his briefcase and mentioned he was stuck as well and asked to trade.
Throughout the flight I learned he was a Marine (and very patriotic), and had also spent time as a truck driver before delving into stand-up comedy.
He had all the time in the world for people not only on the plane but also when he unboarded. People were stopping him in the airport and he engaged everyone that wanted to talk to him.
I still have that crossword, autographed along with with some silly phrase and comment.
I was impressed by his life, his attitude and his overall love of people and country. Both of which he made clear.
voting by absentee ballot?
Proof you can be funny without being gutter brained!
