Wednesdays's senate hearing regarding the Internet Giveaway revealed that ICANN has been not merely dishonest but truth is alien to them. Senator Grassley found no solid reason to believe that our .gov and .mil websites will be left alone. [Which means no website is safe]. That lack of assurance concerns him.
According to Paul Rosenzweig [a cyber-war insider and former Homeland Administrator who wrote extensively about freedom-of-speech concerns] the only thing protecting the .mil and .gov websites is empty assurances in letters that have no legal value whatsoever.
To put it bluntly:
The senator and Rosenzweig both smell a rat.

Paul Rosenzweig's Testimony
Quote:
"[The assurances were] made through an exchange of letters. Not only are the letters non-legally binding, they actually acknowledge the possibility that at some point a separation of the IANA function from ICANN might threaten the stability and security of the US governments top level domains. I cant speak for other observers, but for me, as a lawyer, an exchange of letters is a way of avoiding a contractually enforceable obligation. I know why ICANN would prefer that course of action I have no idea why the NTIA would accept it on behalf of the US government." -- Rosenzweig

How will .com and .org sites be globally governed? I guess it depends on the new friends ICANN leaders have.
Rosenzweig: "The IANA transition is a leap in the dark. Nobody can reasonably tell you that there is certainty about how it will work out."

ICANN Secretly Planning to Move Overseas
A clear example of a lie by ICANN: they claim that they will remain under US jurisdiction and remain based in California. That's not only a lie but a tricky, oily kind of deceit.
. . .
Testimony by Paul Rosenzweig:
"ICANN is a non-profit corporation incorporated in California. Some say that this is a check on ICANNs activities, since it would be subject to suit in Americas impartial, professional court system. Indeed, in July, Assistant Secretary Strickling confidently declared ICANN is a California corporation and will remain so.'
"I wish I were as confident as Assistant Secretary Strickling... The idea that ICANN would pack up and move has been contemplated by ICANNs leadership.
"Back in June 2014, ICANN CEO Fadi Chehade announced, in testimony to the French Senate, that the Board had authorized him to begin, as one of five major initiatives, the creation of a 'parallel legal, international structure (maybe in Switzerland) for ICANN.'
"These changes were recommended even though some Members of Congress have explicitly opposed this outcome."
-- Rosenzweig

He also revealed their sneaky lies about maintaining current ownership of '.mil' and '.gov' sites further down in his testimony. They broke one promise after another every step of the way of this planning process.
ICANN's leadership is packed with liars.
But what do you expect? Obama sides with them.
Even Trump would have a tough time fixing this. Might not be possible. And congress's current plan to save it might not succeed either. But there is a way, only possible if public awareness increases rapidly.
[I do assume that philanthropist Esther Dyson is a blessing to the Free World. But she has lost influence in ICANN.]
Deadline — ICANN’s contract must be renewed by September 30.

1. Foreign powers will “indisputably have increased influence”.
2. Transition a “leap in the dark”.
3. ICANN planning to move overseas.
4. ‘.gov’ and ‘.mil’ “not assured by any enforeable mechanism”.

Why can’t a “dark” web be set up to provide conservative control over the valuable to ‘mericans parts of the web?
That rat s Baraq Hussein Obama who's plan is to give control of the Internet over to the NWO and it's architects.
Excellent question.
That’s one of those big ‘uknowns’. ICANN has a lot of expertise, copyright protection, and I would imagine patents.
And frankly, I wouldn’t want to tangle with them. They have experience dating back to ‘98. No one has anywhere near that level of experience. They have code stached away that would blow our minds.
Here was their first top scientist, Jon Postel:
Before the establishment of ICANN, the IANA function of administering registries of Internet protocol identifiers (including the distributing top-level domains and IP addresses) was performed by Jon Postel, a Computer Science researcher who had been involved in the creation of ARPANET, first at UCLA and then at the University of Southern California’s Information Sciences Institute (ISI).[4][5] In 1997 Postel testified before Congress that this had come about as a “side task” to this research work.[6] The Information Sciences Institute was funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, as was SRI International’s Network Information Center, which also performed some assigned name functions.[7]
[They located their headquarters near his house. He and other ARPANET pioneers were the ones who got them rolling.]
ICANN would find allies in Google, Facebook, Twitter, Soros, and China.
So long as they remain in California and under US jurisdiction, we could most likely find a way to keep them honest. They are a utility with a monopoly.
But if they go overseas and team up with hackers there is no telling what kind of cyber-war would result if we don’t give in.
Our fearless leaders are all set to throw all of us under the bus, then it occurs to them their little domains would be effected, too. Not so happy now are you?
Counting on the US Congress to save us is like counting on the Titanic to stay afloat in the north Atlantic.
33 senators are on our side and agree with Grassley. We simply need to pressure the rascals. But without public awareness, it’s moot.
Trump won the primary because pressuring the rascals doesn’t work. The Republicans know what the base wants. We’ve worn ourselves out telling them. Yet they plot relentlessly to thwart us in favor of uniparty globalism. The GOP is essentially as corrupt as the Dems. If Trump can’t fix this, we’re screwed.
Considering all the other acts of treason committed by the President, could this one end up being the worst of the worst?
At some point, there have to be adults to stand up and tell them NO. This is insane. What has taken them so long to tell Obambi NO?
Grow a set, Republicans. Tell the Marxist dictator NO.
‘Considering all the other acts of treason committed by the President, could this one end up being the worst of the worst?’
Yes if ICANN sells out as badly as they could.
Even if we were flooded with immigrants, freedom of speech
would give us a chance to one day turn the ship around.
Not much of a chance, but if freedom of speech is unravelled, then we lose the immigration debate, voter fraud — everything.
I understand that thinking, but I don’t give up something this important without a fight.
It seems foolish to reach over to other websites to spread the word, but seeing all of this horse race fixation at a time like this — not able to chew gum and walk at the same time?
Places like ‘Coast to Coast’ might be nutty, but they might bring energy to the debate.
Paul Rosenzweig:
Without that check, ICANN risks becoming an unregulated monopoly with no effective outside oversight and control.
