Archeologists with the University of Western Australia have discovered a mysterious set of stone structures not far from the Dampier Archipelago in northwestern Australia. If current theories about the structures are confirmed, they could potentially rewrite much of Western Australias early history, not to mention human history.
...
The structures are a set of rooms cut into stone, some of which display evidence of early agricultural practices such as grinding seeds and storing shells. This find could change current thinking about civilizations of the time, which were previously believed to have been hunter-gatherer groups.

The Dampier Archipelago formed around 7,000 years ago as sea levels rose, creating isolated Aboriginal communities. Today, five distinct Aboriginal language groups are recognized in the area. Archeologists believe that the site has been occupied for around 25,000 years, pre-dating the last ice age, and a nearby site is thought to be over 50,000 years old.

Wait. You mean sea levels were rising before there were SUVs? How can that be possible?

Isn’t it amazing that it took humans so long to carve and paint in more than stick figures like a 4 year old?
Petroglyphs like those can be found all over the world.
More and more predeluvian sites are being discovered, pushing human history back tens of thousands of years. Einstein, among others, believed a global shift in the earth’s mantle caused global flooding and mass extinction. The shift, it is theorized, was caused by ice at the poles becoming so thick it caused an imbalance, shifting the poles, an event that has occurred every ten thousand years or so.
Is it any wonder we are trying to melt the ice caps? Failure to do so will mean another mass global extinction.
Cow farts, and 'heady' stout beer.
If only the evil racist Whites had known how civilized and sophisticated the aborigines' forbears had been they would have treated them as equals.
I call BS on that. Do we treat Italy as an equal to Germany because it once hosted the Roman Empire, or Greece as an equal to France because that's where Plato and Aristotle were born?
Just because some great empire arose from a certain place doesn't mean that the people occupying that area now are worthy of the same level of respect. Certainly as humans they deserve a certain level of respect and dignity for being fellow humans. But if they weren't able to hold onto their technological or sociological gains, then they should be treated accordingly.
When the US dissolves into a post-apocalyptic wasteland with scraps of food being fought over by rival gangs and tribes, we will get just the level of respect we deserve which will be not all that much.
I figure aliens traveled untold number of light years and dumped the stones there. What there purpose was is unknown to humans.
Maybe used up dilithium crystals.........
What does any of that have to do with this article?

Global Warming?
They don’t look human...
That’s because they are birds.
Signs of Cthulhu worship?
The poles do not “switch”, just their magnetic polarity. Spinning with a large and dense iron core, the Earth is a gigantic electromagnet. The polarity of that magnet does migrate and then for some reason reverses. It’s been demonstrated by testing the polarity induced on ocean sediment deposits over hundreds of thousands of years. Did or could the last change destroy an ante-deluvian civilization, or cause a global flood? Since it’s showing signs of switching polarity again in the very (by geologic standards) near future we might find out.
Those are rock drawings ... NOT formations !
Yes, and that warming means in my present location I’m sitting with the windows open, a light rain outside, and the temperature 72 degrees F. That’s instead of being under the one mile thick slab of ice that used to own this land.
and the temperature 72 degrees F.
Aren’t you worried about Overheating??
