So Cam Newtons brain got pounded multiple times but he didnt get checked for a concussion until after the game? Dont worry, the NFL can explain everything (emphasis mine):
There was communication between medical personnel on the Carolina sideline, including the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant, and the two independent certified athletic trainer spotters in the booth. During stoppage in play while on-field officials were in the process of administrating [sic] penalties, the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant and team physician requested video from the spotters and reviewed the play. They concluded there were no indications of a concussion that would require further evaluation and the removal of the player.
Thats questionable, but its not even the point.

Large amounts of money does things to corporate and personal discipline.
rush was talking about this today.... how many teams will take a few 15 yards penalties or ejections to force a quarterback pull...
Nor was Concussion protocol followed in the case of Hillary’s injuries.
Cam Newton correctly answered the question:
What is 2+2? He answered: Jello.
That seemed good enough for the folks in the booth.
they need to make the penalty for head shots more severe and make them override any other penalty. the worst shot he took was the last one where the denver corner launched himself at cams head. cam, trying to avoid a sack, got a grounding call which cancelled out the blatant head shot. so it cost denver nothing (except for possible fines). nfl network says the refs will call it much stricter this weekend to protect the QBs. we’ll see.
NFL cuncussion protocol is broken. Goddell is broken.
It was sad to watch.
I mentioned the lack of precaution in a post at the time. Newton got the crap beaten out of him, including some headshots. I like Newton and would hate to see his career shortened like that. If the defenses know he’ll be kept on the field, they will take extra shots even if they face a penalty. He’s an essential player to his teams success.
I did watch the game and wondered when he got helmet-to-helmet hit (the worst one) why they didn’t pull him like they’ve done others. Of course the game was on the line and that was the only explanation.
I am still trying to figure out how Denver managed to win that game.
When he got his bell rung, Don Meredith would come back to the huddle singing “I didn’t know God made honky-tonk angels.”
Another player got whacked so hard he sat on the bench wondering how he on earth was going to get home after the game.
If you lower your head and use the helmet as a ram into the head, it’s a deliberate head shot. Standing straight up and hitting heads? I just don’t know.
............isn’t this “game” by now akin to a Mexico bullfight where a certain number of injuries and deaths are silently accepted to be just “what it takes” to quench the blood thirst of fans and get them to watch (advertising) and come out to the stadium (tickets, booze, trinkets) every week?????
Basically, the players are just willing gladiators.
One of the ways to spot a libtard organization - when the rules are selectively applied.
They did the protocol on a Bronco—don’t remember which one—maybe Brandon Marshall, the one who kneeled for the anthem?

The NFL is dead to me. I’m not insanely patriotic, or anything like that, and I didn’t plan this, but it just happened.
Not how I saw it. Cam would have taken a helmet to the shoulder if not for his last split second cowering.
Newton’s a whiner. At least he got some solid hits this time to complain about.
Get rid of the helmets and there will less concussions!
