It's not hard to turn off. I personally don't see a problem with most of the telemetry. It's sending back diagnostics information on program load times, memory usage, etc. All good data that can lead to better OS operation in the future. Is it trackable back to you? Well - unless you're using an encrypted VPN run overseas and back - everything you do online is trackable back to you!

I’ve upgraded all my PCs to Windows 10. It boots faster, is rock-solid stable, and still runs stuff that was built for Windows 95 (I have a few programs I still use from the mid-90s, some tools I wrote back then).
