I'm to the point where I don't know what to say except that what we are doing obviously isn't working. We should pick one of the following models and follow it for awhile and gauge the results:
- The Singapore solution where drug dealers are hanged and users which repeatedly fail rehab are exiled to an offshore island to mostly fend for themselves.
- The Portugal solution where drug users register and get their fix provided at nominal cost, thereby destroying the market for drug dealing.
Either way would work better than the WOD status quo, though I personally prefer #1. The Singaporeans are far more industrious than the Portuguese.
