SAN ANTONIO - Outrage is building after a San Antonio mattress company aired a “Twin Tower sale” video, days before the 15th anniversary of the deadly attack that killed nearly 3,000 people.
The 20 second Miracle Mattress video opens with three people standing in front of two stacks of mattresses.
The advertisement says mattresses will be on sale for the price of a twin mattress. Two men are then “thrown back” into the two stacks of mattresses, causing them to fall over.

It was in extremely poor taste, but poor taste is not illegal. The free market will take care of bad advertising. I am sure this has tarnished their bix despite the seemingly sincere apology.

I must admit that after watching the video I felt tears in my eyes. That fat young woman who thinks she’s so funny was laughing about Americans being vaporized. Since I was there, I remember the photos of janitors and secretaries all over the telephone poles and the armory asking people to find their loved ones. People refused to believe they were dead. I remember when the sky turned black and the horrible chemical smell of burning buildings forced me to shut all the windows while I wondered who I knew had been killed (only one on Flight 93).
This is what public education has done. Welcome to Amerika.

I’m so glad all you recognize is bad advertising and the free market. I see young people who are soulless as zombies. May they fill your retirement home when you are old and sick.

Many words have lost their meaning. I see it in posts on various forums. I see it in the media a lot. I saw the ND pipeline referred to as the “Dakota tragedy”. Lol. I guess the person that posted that on the internet lives a totally fossil fuel-free life.
I did and I thought the girl’s tone when she said “We will never forget” was smarmy or sarcastic.

I have to correct something: my original remarks mentioned Ted Cruz because he talked about New York values. But after watching this disgusting ‘commercial’ I realize that Ted Cruz has nothing to do with this and would undoubtedly be disgusted as I am. So I apologize for that remark. I hadn’t seen the video and didn’t realize it was a terrible as it is.
