A poster on Reddit put it well when he recalled how Jobs extolled the headphone jack on the 3G as being made so well that any headset could use it, only to have fanboys in 2016 swear that headphones are antiques, only in the past 12 hours.
Now you trot out a non sequitur. Invoking what Steve Jobs said in 2008 about the universality of a change in design necessitated because the original previous design would NOT accept all headphone jacks because some with thicker hafts would NOT clear the opening is irrelevant. It has NOTHING to do with today.

You are never going to be affected by the lack of this jack. Quit being an asshat.
