Half of John Higdon's broken home is barely standing while the other half is a crumbled mess.
Police say Higdon had been arguing with his neighbor for the past few days.
His brother said it all started when Higdon believed a group of men tried to break into his home, so he fired some shots into the woods - in the same direction as his neighbor's home.
"This man over here decides to come 2 o'clock in the morning, comes over at 2 o'clock in the morning with a dozer, a tractor, and starts pushing the house down," Sammy Higdon said.
John Higdon was arrested for firing those shots and charged with reckless endangerment.
Police also arrested his neighbor, Edgar McLellon, who is charged with aggravated criminal trespassing and felony vandalism.
This is datelined Drummonds, Tennessee, for anyone looking for a little construction work...
Sounds like a nice neighborhood.
Time to for Backhoe registration!
If someone bulldozes a house at 2 am, it isn’t vandalism, it’s attempted murder.
Why didn’t he shoot the backhoe driver?
Or was he in jail?
I agree! No one needs a backhoe and no one needs one of those assault backhoes with their deadly semi-automatic bucket loaders! They’re a menace and it’s time we had reasonable, common-sense backhoe controls that include smart features that prevent backhoes from being useful pieces of equipment.
LOL Words to live by
I have an assault Backhoe here in New Jersey, I think I said too much.....
I lost my assault backhoe in a tragic boating accident....
wait till the moon shines, these things grow horns
what about the mole crickets, they have a place too.
OH BOY...The Hatfields and the Macoys all over again!!!
That’s not a backhoe.
Do not expect Christmas cards this year!
There’s always a nitpicker :P
You’re in New Jersey? I’m surprised they let you have an opinion!
