Tim Kaine looked very nervous in back of der Beast. He could have got out of the chair to give her support. However, he would give away to the world his concern for her health. He should have had a pre-opened pickle jar for her. Having her open the jar would have brought comic relief to the embarrassment of her situation. The place would be in a riot if she coughed down a pickle. Otherwise, you saw in that video der hildebeast in a pickle. Throw a bucket of water on her and call her done.
That would be a death sentence for him, it would highlight just how frail she is and he would probably get suicides for it
