"Taking his cue from Ron Pauls willingness to play hard ball with the GOP, Levin played right back. Said Levin:
Let me make myself clear. I love my country. I love the Constitution. I love my family. And I believe with all my heart and soul that four more years of Obama is a disaster to all three of them.
And if some egomaniac who knows he cannot win chooses to run as a third party, I will do everything in my power, as limited as it is, to fight them every damn step of the way. And if Ron Paul decides that he is going to go third party, which is detrimental to this nation, and pulls a million votes which is relatively insignificant in the big scheme of things I will do everything in my power to defeat his son in Kentucky. I will do everything in my power to defeat his son Rand Paul in Kentucky."

Levin has walked back his initial opposition to Trump.
However, his main themes remain his conservative principles—to which Trump imperfectly adheres —though—considering hillary— he is the lesser of two weavels.
Most of the time however, —when Levin talks about his principles—I’m not sure what he means.
I think he’s referring to “limited government”. But again I’m not sure what that means in practice.
In practice for example its likely that Trump will knock out an immense number of regulations and laws. And enforce others. And streamline still others.
I wonder sometimes as to whether Levin means “limited government” in the same ideal way that the communists talked about the perfect communist state. As an ideal to be strived for but never attained.

Jim Robinson put out a thread I think yesterday warning freepers to lay off Levin bashing.
He was hoping that Levin would come to our side. He didn’t say to not have anymore Levin threads.
I took it that he meant stop trashing Levin on FR. So I’m refraining. :-)
