An ocean research organization has discovered a nursery and probably even the birthing site of great white sharks in the North Atlantic and its near Montauk, Long Island.
Chris Fischer, the founding chairman of Ocearch, the organization behind the development, told CBS News that they had definitely [found] the nursery, likely the birthing site.
The find is probably the most significant discovery weve ever made on the ocean, Fischer added.

If sharks are fish, why don’t they lay eggs?
I guess they're hoping that the sharks will reduce the numbers.
Wish I could remember where, but decades ago I read that the New York Bight was known to be a great white nursery.
My sister has a house up there. Non-stop parties and crowds destroying the entire reason most people get out of the city and get up there.
Some sharks lay eggs, some sharks keep the eggs in the body until hatching, and some sharks give live birth.
Some are egg layers and some are live bearers.
Yes. Sharks care so much for their “nursery” that they eat the baby sharks.
Montauk used to be a quiet little drinking town with a fishing problem.

The info has always been available....but the local fishermen thay asked know better than to trust greenies with grants with sensitive information.
