RICHLAND COUNTY, SC A would-be robbers plans were foiled Monday morning when a gas station clerk drew his own gun.
Richland County Sheriffs deputies were called to the Obama store, a gas station at 5831 N. Main Street around 3:30 a.m. The clerk said a gun-wielding suspect demanded money from him, said Lt. Curtis Wilson, spokesman for the sheriffs department.
But the clerk pulled out his own weapon. The clerk did not fire.
As the suspect fled, he fired multiple shots, Wilson said. No one was injured. The clerk was shielded by protective glass.
