I’m afraid I’m too much of a rational thinker to think that seeing our dead pets is anything other than wishful thinking.
When our little cat Munchy died suddenly after a short illness, I saw her in every dark corner. It was only my mind trying to supply the missing object that I so desperately wanted to see. But she was gone. Eventually, I stopped seeing her everywhere.
The cats (bunnies, chickens, parakeets) who have gone before me are all waiting at the Rainbow Bridge. They are not here.

I know God loves us, and I can't see why he couldn't give them a hall pass to stop by and give us a visit. I had a dream about one cat a few months ago...another kind of a visit.
The cat I have now, my best bud, I know she'll be the one to check in on me.

Yes, they are waiting at the Rainbow Bridge, but their spirit may come and visit sometimes to comfort their beloved friends/owners.

My husband and I used to have three cats, which all lived to be quite old. Over a period of several years, they died off; and after the last died there were a few months before we acquired new ones. Several times during those months, I would feel a cat jump on the bed, like the old ones always did, as I was drifting off to sleep.
