When I heard about the stock prices after Hillary’s tweet, I thought, “gosh, it will be easy to catch inside traders. Just look for any suspicious shorts closely timed with it.

There is no law against insider trading for elected officials.
One-to-twenty-nine should be a prison sentence, not a stock market speculation return.
I seem to remember something about that...
But holy cow would it look bad. REALLY bad.
I thought congressmen were prevented now but spouses could still do it.
She’s not holding any office right now.
She probably didn’t do the trade. im sure it was other elected officials.
was this followed by a huge donation to the Clinton Foundation?
Perhaps this id how she pays off members of congress and others who she is looking to enrich for some reciprocal back scratching.
Whoa that bull is ripped!
...was followed by donation to the Clinton foundation .....
Donation was already made - see this post by Lucyt

Dunno... the law about that is rather broad. Anyone who had nonpublic knowledge about something that could affect the share price must not trade based on that. Doesn’t matter if elected official or a janitor at the company.
The cattle futures profit was the payoff for services rendered by then Governor Bill Clinton. Hillary played the bagman role.
What you have to look for now is whether the short seller is a “Friend of Bill” and/or a donor.
The new scheme is so much cleaner by the way. The money is routed through a charitable foundation instead of a direct payment. Well, as long as Chelsea is a highly paid executive of the Foundation I suppose that qualifies as a direct payment bribe to a relative.
Whole lotta BULL!
