H3ll, scientists can't even figure out how the Eastern Islanders got those funky statues up their hills. They suspect it was sometime before the last trees on the island were felled around 1600, but they don't even know that for sure.
If they can't figure out what happened just over 400 years ago, how are they supposed to know what happened 4.5 billion years ago? Or however old the earth really is?

have to disagree. God gave us Minds that were beautiful enough to discover these things.just because there’s a God doesn’t mean we can’t discover things and explain them. Doesn’t mean there’s not a God. But it doesn’t mean we can’t discover things and know things. Your answer was adequate several thousand years ago. It isn’t now. God gave us the grace to Make advances. Not to put our heads in the sand.
