Some places do, but even if it's digital, someone has to manage the showing. The Union guy does that. My buddy asked the theater manager the same question. It's just like truck drivers are still called "Teamsters" even though there's no team of horses or mules to drive. In the theater, at least they are still "projecting" the image, regardless of how it's carried. They never called them "reelers." LOL. I as a projectionist when I was in college, way back when. It was the job I had to earn money to pay for personal incidentals on my full ride scholarship.

Back to the point of this - in our area, the film ( yikes, I called it “film”) is booked through 8/24 in 3 Theaters .
2 will have 3 showings a day and 1 will have 4.
Pretty sad considering this looks like it represents all of Illinois
