But except for a few searches, Firefox with extensions is far superior to MS, or Chrome, for power users.

I usually keep my browsers very minimal.

The problem with Firefox/Mozilla is their rapid release — about every 6 weeks. Those releases break more extensions than fix issues.

Many extension authors have simply quit updating their extensions because they have more important things to do that update Firefox extensions every 6 weeks.

I have tried several Mozilla-Firefox based browsers. In some ways they are better, but they also suffer from the rapid release and broken extentions. I did discover that the 32-bit browsers seem to work better with extensions than the 64-bit browser versions do. Firefox, unless it has changed recently, is a 32-bit browser.

I finally had quit browser upgrades/updates just to keep the old extensions working. They are more useful than another rapid release irritant.

HostMan is great.
Besides blocking ads it also blocks many malware sites.
