We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home, Swift said in a statement to CNN. The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking. I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time.

That’s very generous. God bless her. Amen. Hopefully, she’ll quit hanging around that filth, Lena Dunham.
Publicity is her livelihood so I don't hold it against anyone in that business when they announce these things. Especially things like this that spread a good influence.
Funny how that works.
ABC nightly news has been covering it.
“No big time coverage except locally. “
The President is an abomination for ignoring this and bravo to Taylor Swift for her donation.
.
But they don't care 'cause it ain't in any important precincts.
More widespread, I think.
20K people rescued
40K homes damaged
I am not a fan of Taylor Swift, but I applaud her
It means more donations from others when it is announced.
Katrina was a Democrat driven scam on the American people
The media circus was intended to cover up decades of Democrat graft and incompetence and then to allow the same grifting, grafting thieves to steal more than they ever dreamed possible from the American people
George Bush was fundamentally unable to manage a propaganda war against his administration
Nice, but will this money go to actually helping people or will it go into the pockets of crooks? For some reason the Clinton Foundation comes to mind.
Good for her, glad she cares.
Musically, I don’t care a thing about Taylor, but this is a very good humanitarian gesture. As others have already said, I just hope she checked out who she gave the money to and made sure more than 20% of it will actually go to the people she wants to help.
I lived in that area in the 80’s, played in lads of night clubs, knew a lot of musicians. Lost touch with them all long ago, I hope they all make it through this.
South Louisiana cajuns are hard to understand, but some of the best people around once you get to know them. Very loyal, for the most part honest, of course you have the usual low lifes as with any group. I’ve seen them help people they never saw in their life more than once though...Gonzales, outside Baton Rouge, is where I lived. I’m pretty sure that area got flooded but haven’t heard anything definite. Also lived in Denham Springs for a while and had band practice on the bank of a local bayou I’m sure flooded.
The Mississippi River runs just west of Baton Rouge, one of the bridges on I-10 goes over it if I remember correctly. If the Mississippi floods, it’s real trouble. I didn’t hear of that, but I know the Amite and Comite Rivers both flooded. (pronounced with short “i”, A-meet or A-mitt, Co-meet or Co-mitt, depending on your dialect.) Both are close to Baton Rouge. I think I fished on the Comite. I know I fished on both as a kid.
I’m a chick, but she looks innocent to me. :-)
She’s incredibly beautiful I think, and over all a good role model compared to most on the scene. She is a genuinely good person and worked incredibly hard to get where she is today. Did I say she’s beautiful? Oh, ya, said that already ...
B L’s don’t M to B H O or B L M for that matter.
Good for her.
Puts her money where her mouth is AND I don’t recall knowing what her politics are either :)
Glad she made it public so that her peers will think about what good they can do with their money.
G O L F is all that matters when vacationing with his B friends on taxpayer dime.
You betcha Megan dear!
