What is your favorite Firearm(s) you lost Overboard in your Freak Boating Accident?
Posted on 08/13/2016 9:30:50 AM PDT by gigster
My absolute favorite is my Remington 1911 R-1, with a satin black finish, and G-10 black grips. Truly beautiful to behold and to hold because the gnurling on the grips leaves triangular indentations in your shooting hand.

My other favorite firearm lost tragically is my Ruger Mark II .22 Bull-Barreled target pistol with an integrated Crimson Trace laser sight in the grip sighting along the bottom of the barrel. Lots of plinking fun.

I would ask you to consider that what you are doing by creating this thread is no different than people who get on FACEBOOK and post their pictures and other personal info and notify everyone when they will NOT BE AT HOME.
Many here complain about GUN REGISTRATION by the government, and yet you are asking people on here to GIVE UP THAT INFORMATION VOLUNTARILY.
Isn’t that unwise ?

Just a scary thought: So the Hilldebeeste gets the WH and true to form gets the 1st. and 2nd. Amendment tossed. So how would the feds go about ‘collecting’ citizens firearms? Federal gun sale records are supposedly saved for only 30 days.

Here in northern Michigan in Charlevoix, Lake Michigan averages about 300 feet in depth. It would take some kind of submersible to locate our missing force multipliers.

None. All my firearms are firmly in my control. And I intend to keep it that way.

It’s like trying to choose your favorite son or daughter, they were all so special in their own way and I miss them all. I know I never should have tried to carry 50+ guns in a small Jon boat during rough seas. But since the dreadful boating accident the ones I miss the most were my Sig Sauer MK25 P226 (9mm) and my Sig Sauer Spartan 1911 (45 cal). I “dream” of shooting them often. Ahh, I miss those puppies.

Hands down, Marlin 60.
I like them so much I have several.
And I keep them out of the boat.

Isn't that Unwise?Oh, look what time it is. Lunch-time. I'll be back later to tell you of my Ithaca Arms 1911 A-1 U. S. Army issued .45 cal. that I bought from my friend, with only cash whose father's family was very prominent in Detroit last century, even having a building downtown named after them. It's serial # is 20924***. Molon Labe! And, have a particularly nice day.
