You'll need to click past the obnoxious commercial.
Because you can never haveEmmylou Harris
I like the endings of Emmy Lous songs.
Never like her music, never liked her.
Good stuff! Thanks Fai Mao. My wife is a big fan.
Emmy Lou’s good but I really like Karla Bonoff.
This sad song is about her kitty.

She was involved with Gram parsons at one time.
Here is a photo of her singing....PG rated.

I just realized that I haven't seen an ad on a youtube link in about a year and a half. I asked my techi son if he could fix that for me and he did it in a few minutes. I have no idea how he did it.
As for Emmylou, I got to see her live here in Kerrville a couple years ago with Rodney Crowell. Amazing night ... their show was rained out and a lucky few of us (about 200) got a wonderful 2 hour performance in the lobby of the YO hotel. She and Rodney were on my bucket list.
Quarter Moon In A Ten Cent Town........
I’m a fan
I saw her sing at the old Memorial gym at Univ. of VA, Oct 11, 1974. Leo Kottke was the featured player. Tickets were $4. at the door!
One of my all-time favorites ...
Dittos on Karla Bonoff! I saw her open for James Taylor on a summer night in the Cincinnati/Kings Island Tennis Stadium - great show.
Linda Ronstadt did some great covers of KB songs.
Great cut!!! Thanks!
We saw her at a county fair many years ago. She did no small talking with or to the audience, sang a few songs and left the stage. I liked her before that - now I have no use for her or her music.
I can only take her as a harmony singer. She has provided harmony to many artists who seemed incompatible to her. But I just can’t listen to her thin, squeaky voice on its own.
I used to like her music until isaw her perform in a small 300 seat theater in Hollywood a few years ago. I suppose she thought she was in good company to speak and receive praise for all sorts of wacky liberal views. I can’t listen to her any more without thinking how out of touch she is with common people...
My favorite Emmylou Harris album is Roses in the snow. She has Ricky Skaggs and Johnny Cash on it singing and playing back up. “Darkest hour is just before dawn” - Harris & Skaggs, “Green Pastures” - Harris & Skaggs, “Jordon” - Harris, Skaggs, & Cash.
I got to meet Karla after a show my wife booked and we talked for a few minutes.
She’s a class act, very down to earth. Funny and friendly. Salt of the earth.
Her father was a WWII Army sarge.
I was surprised to find out all the songs she wrote that others perform.
