I feel your brain pain :-)
The whining, it burns... How freakin’ stupid are these people gonna get? They should thank God breathing is an autonomous bodily function, otherwise they’d die of asphyxiation in their sleep.
Didn’t the Redskins change their name to “honor” one of their favorite players?
How did that work out for them?
You beat me to it!
One would think Bangladeshis and West Bengalis would object to the name Bengals.
The Grape Apes would fit if they wore purple jerseys.
I stepped on an ant on the way to work this morning; I demand the Denver Broncos change their team name to the Denver ‘Frisbee Arachnids’ immediately!
Well that is one of the stupidest things I have seen today, and I have seen a lot of stupid things today.
"...and their schedule doesn't get any easier, as Cincinnati travels to Pittsburgh next week to meet their division rivals, the Three Toed Sloths."
A gorilla. What about innocent people killed by muzzards? Oh, I forgot. That generates no outrage. Gorillas and lions with names get people throughout the world really upset.
I thought being named as a mascot was demeaning....
As a backup plan, maybe Chad Ochocinco Johnson, former Bengals “star”, could change his name to Chad Happyharambe.
For the children, not his thirst for a headline, of course.
I have always felt the name “Bengals” was racist. As is “Cincinnati”. As is everything.
Then, the opposition will be calling them — the dead gorillas.
They might want to re-think the name change.
How about renaming them “The Apes?” Nahh, too racis’.
Wouldn't that be considered outrageously racist?
".....I'll do it...where do it sign....be worth it to hear Joe Buck..or Crissy Collingsworth go on and on about the name"
I live in Cincinnati and could give a rat's ass. I don't know or care who pitches for the Reds, who quarterbacks for the Bengals, or any other brain dead fact about pro or college sports. Any sentient person does not have time for bread and circuses.
It takes all my free time just to keep track of how much government is screwing me every day.
There was an indoor soccer team named the Cincinnati Silverbacks in the 1990s.
I think they should do it, why not? And really, who cares anymore? Absurdity seems to be the order of the day anyway.
