Donald Trump needs to get back on track: Steve Forbes Trump needs to get back on track: Steve Forbes 4 Hours Ago|02:32 Donald Trump has an opportunity to get his campaign back on track when he outlines his economic plan on Monday, following a bruising week, former GOP presidential candidate Steve Forbes said Monday.

Recent polls show Hillary Clinton leads Trump nationally and in some key battleground states following Trump's public dispute with the Muslim parents of a U.S. Army captain killed in action in Iraq.

Trump also clashed with his party's establishment, by refusing endorse Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan and Sen. John McCain. He relented on Friday during a campaign stop in Wisconsin, endorsing Ryan and McCain, as well as New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte, in their primary battles.

"If you saw him on Friday making that endorsement announcement, that was a chagrined man who finally realized his campaign's in trouble. If he doesn't change it, it's over," Forbes told CNBC's "Squawk Box."

All his supposed “friends” constantly spewing this line to the press is no help at all. They are the ones keeping the storyline going.

You missed the media onslaught using manufactured issues and lies. The Khan issue was the most prominent, but not the only press-manufactured outrage.

It’s beneath him to spend several days getting into a shatestorm with those goofy looking muslim parents. He’s got take a page from Reagan and make a joke about things like this- and make it a funny joke. This should be a cakewalk election for him against the enfeebled candidate on deaths door, Sir Edmund Hillary Rotten Clintoon

Pretty much the health issues are going to become a big factor. That picture by Drudge has gone viral.

Got to remember that this is August, people are on vacation, getting ready to go on vacation or have just come back from vacation.

I know it’s a media generated deal - but still - the media is laying mines to get another Clinton in to steal the silver service and furniture

The word has gone out to the media.
We will see no more pictures of that sort.

Just as they compliantly refrained from picturing
FDR in his wheelchair for twelve years.

There is a step b4 rebellion. It is called secession. Secession doesn’t automatically mean war. But probably will in this case. It will start with Texit.

“Yes indeed. Her health is crashing faster than the media can destroy Trump.”

Rats are going to pull a Torricelli.

Hillary is a placeholder for Warren. I am giving the over/under on Hillary’s wanting to spend more time with the grandkids as October 15 before Warren is recruited by the rats.

Won’t be a need for money since the endorsement alone will be hailed by the MSM as the greatest act of courageousness in the history of politics. No debate, no ads, no time for Trump to destroy her.

I think Forbes and the other yammering nincompoops needs to STFU. If they are so smart, why didn’t they run, and win the nomination. Let the guy driving the bus drive, and either sit back and enjoy the ride, or get off the bus.

According to Chris Cillizza of Politico (?) Trump had a “horrible” week in which he knocked more than 13 points off the Reuters poll.

Just wow.

"If you saw him on Friday making that endorsement announcement, that was a chagrined man who finally realized his campaign's in trouble. If he doesn't change it, it's over," Forbes told CNBC's "Squawk Box."

I saw him make that endorsement, that was a man reading from a prepared script and making the endorsement because he was forced to. It didn't fool anyone into thinking that he really supports Ryan, or that he suddenly has respect for McCain or Ayotte.
