That’s pretty stupid. What next? A car that “puts itself up for sale” if you don’t drive it for 2 weeks?
DUMB!

You will no longer be the owner of your vehicle. You will be a car guardian.

Just because technology allows something to be done doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.

Academics at Birmingham City University are developing...That's where this idea went wrong. Not that there is anything particularly wrong with Birmingham City University...just the idea that academics serve ANY constructive purpose at ANY university.
To: BenLurkin
“Academics...are developing” = completely impractical and won’t happen.

The Left just cannot stop minding other peoples’ business. How about, we strip these academics and then tar and feather them if they ever try to implement this scheme. Then we can recycle their clothes.

More proof that most ‘academic’ types don’t have the sense to come in out of the rain.
An idea so dumb, words fail.
Bound to be even more popular that pay toilets were, decades ago.

You mean my winter wardrobe will not be mine anymore.
Freezing on my occasional winter trips will not be pleasant!
You may read of my arrest for NAKEDNESS in public! Scary!
Actually I love clothing but only have 3 closets full right now. Everyday, winter and traveling categories...
Another waste of time and I bet federal funding buried in that program!

This technology is not intended for clothes, it is intended for guns!
When it is “deemed” you no longer need your guns, they contact the authorities so they know where to collect them.

It’s a stupid idea... the only rational for it would be a Police State wanting to keep tabs on people.

This is an extension of the ‘we have to limit consumption, make you own as little as possible” movement of involuntary simplicity, for the sake of the planet.
