In my opinion the Olympics have out served their purpose and are a waste of time, effort, and money. This Olympics just puts a big fat exclamation point on it.

Strike that. The night watchman was on the other side of the doors with the keys, and was calling 911 to report a burglary in progress.

lol. That is funny. However, every 4 years we hear about what a disaster the Olympics are going to be and they turn out fine. 1972 was the only bad Olympics in history.

“1972 was the only bad Olympics in history.”

I feel that the 24 years South Africa was banned were “bad” Olympics.

Remember the 76 Games when all the African nations boycotted because New Zealand wasn’t kicked out for sending their Rugby team to South Africa.

Lots of potential for trouble with this event, I heard a report that when traffic gets stalled on their freeways, armed gangs swarm the parked cars to rob the people at gunpoint. Then there’s the matter of rivers of sewage.

I hope it all goes well but you have to wonder what the worst case scenario is, security wise.

Brazil is also a world class socialist dystopia where the four main political parties are: the Workers' Party, the Brazilian Social Democracy Party, the Brazilian Democratic Movement Party, and finally to top it off: the Democrats.
