Last I heard Chicago wasn’t anywhere near the equator.

Was thinking the same thing only with NYC.
However, the most violent citizens in both are from regions near the equator.
Chicago may not be near the equator, but isn’t it strange that the VIOLENCE there seems to peak with the advent of the summer HEAT?
I KNOW nothing, but I think is it the EXTREME HEAT at the equator that causes humans to react so.
Could it be the human body and mind react aggresively when constantly exposed to the extremes of temperature? Isn’t life in the extreme NORTHERN climate adversely affected by the extreme, prolonged bitter COLD.
Violence increases during any prolonged heat wave, no matter where is occurring.
I just think as I, too, react badly to extreme heat, and I live in New England.

The violence in northern cities is 90%+ due to descendents from near the equator. And violence increases during warmer months
But Chicongo is more violent in the summer time. I also noticed when I was in high school that there were NEVER any fights on cold, rainy days. NEVER.
Skin color has a direct relationship to the equator too.
