France for all it's talk tsk-tsking the US about "racial inequality" has one of the most discriminatory systems against minorities in the world: the Breton, Alsace, Corscian etc. languages are banned outright and crushed. At the same time, all the people I know who have lived there and outside (even Frenchies) tell me that the racism and ostracism practiced in France is worse than anywhere in the world.

Very interesting. I had not previously been aware that Corsican separatism was a thing. What is their language, a Frenchified form of Italian, or an Italianate form of French?

(Within a few decades, the French language will have survived only in its Corsican, Québécois, and Haïtien versions. In mainland France, of course, it will have been replaced by Arabic.)
